With a hot, sunny evening and no sign of the torrential rain that plagued other nearby areas, 14 riders signed on for our 10 on the P164. Youth had the edge, with VC Venta's Bobby Buenfeld fastest in 20.56 and Primera rider Matthew Gilmour 2nd in 21.35, despite some delays by the Forest wildlife on the course. 3C's Mark Lisk was 3rd in 22.15, with Sotonia's Pete Boustred 4th in 22.25.
Only Crabwood rider this time was 81-year-old Dave England, who recorded 30.20.
Many thanks as always to our timekeepers Dave Crocker, Jacky and Peter Betteridge, and to John Sanchez-Bisson for marshalling and putting signs out. Also thanks to Martin Beale for dashing out in his van to rescue Ian MacDonald, who was DNF after a mechanical problem.
