A nice warm evening, but the SE wind made for slow times, with only 3 riders under 25 mins. 3C’s Mark Lisk was fastest in 23:32, VC Venta’s Ollie Hitchens 2nd in 24:03 and Richard Bradley 3rd in 24:18.

Alan Bigwood was fastest Crabwood in 28:49, after Pat Lafford decided to give himself the notable handicap of riding his MTB with big knobbly tyres, and recording 29:08.

Just one Crabwood club event left this season – our hill-climb on Bramble Hill takes place on Sunday 3rd September 10am start. HQ and sign-on from 9.30 at Shepherds Gutter car park, West of the Bramble Hill Hotel entrance.
