A warm, blue-sky April day promised much for our first evening TT of 2021, however a brisk, cold SE wind (just the direction you don’t require on this course!) made for some of the toughest conditions and some disappointing times on the P164.  However, all 26 riders got round safely, and plenty of room to improve in future events!

The wind doesn’t seem to trouble the strong young riders so much, with VC Venta’s junior Matthew Gilmour fastest in an excellent 22:51, and 20-year old Harry Johnson second in 23:56.  Pat Lafford was fastest of the four Crabwood riders.

It was great to see so many friends again.  A big Thank You to all our officials and other helpers:-   Mary Corbett, Martin Napier and Karen Napier from Sotonia CC, Chris Freely and Alan Turner from 3C Cycle Club, and Colin Smith, Dave England and Claire Newman from Crabwood.
